“It’s not about
losing weight.
It’s about
finding me again.”— Brian

Meet the Fat Man

He’s persuasive. He’s relentless. He lives in all of us.

The Fat Man is the voice in my head that always has a good reason to start tomorrow. He loves food, comfort, the sofa and an easier option.

This challenge is my public battle with him.

Maybe you have a Fat Man too. Food. Procrastination. Fear. Alcohol. Social media. Whatever it is — you’re welcome here.

My Why

I’m Brian, 55, a husband, father and carer. I love food, I’ve spent years in a cycle of losing and regaining weight, and I know the mental battle that comes with it.

I’ve done marathons and even an ultra in the past, but I can’t run anymore. I needed a challenge that fits my life right now — something I can actually do, that will be hard, but possible. Inspired by people like James Lawrence, Rich Roll and David Goggins, this is my way of showing my kids (and myself) what’s possible.

Win today. Come back tomorrow.Brian
